#60 Anything Goes - CD Sunday Plus Challenge

The theme, as usual, is Anything Goes at the CD Sunday Plus Challenge. You must have used something printed from a CD, a USB or a digital download, you must state where the item used is from and you must make a physical item and not a digital one.

I subscribe to the Tonic monthly box kit and kit No. 41 had shaker dies in the shape of lollipops. I’ve never made a shaker card before, at least I don’t think I have, so decided to give it a go!

Firstly I designed a backing paper in Serif Craft Artist using the ‘brushes’ called Candy – 100s and 1000s. I dragged the brushes across the whole page until I had the coverage that I wanted.
I then die cut the lollipop hole in the backing paper and glued the shaker cup to the back of the paper. I filled the shaker cup with sequins from previous Tonic kits and then glued the whole thing to a card blank.
The lolly sticks were cut from some brown card that I’ve had forever that has a texture that makes it look like wood.
The smaller lolly die, hugs sentiment stamp and sun stamp were also in the kit, but I cut the sun out using small scalloped circle dies. The pink and yellow card were just scraps from my stash and I then edged the card with a pink and gold border peel off.
It’s a fun card that would be good to send to someone needing cheering up.

The challenge will close on Saturday May 22nd 2021 at 1pm.

Don't forget that the CD Sunday Plus Challenge is now about making items using something printed from a craft CD Rom, USB or digital download. You can use other craft items on your card/project, such as a stamp or die, but you must include something printed from the new categories. You must also make a physical item and not a digital one. In your blog post/Facebook entry you must give the name of the printed item you've used.

We also have a Facebook page if you don't have a blog - The CD Sunday Plus Challenge.

  4. As always Pamela - a beautifully made card. You should have been on Blue Peter or similar with your craft ideas and imagination.
