The theme for the CD Sunday Plus Challenge is
Anything Goes. You must have used something printed from a CD, a USB or a
digital download and you must state where the item used is from.
I buy quite a few craft magazines and often
use the card designs in them for inspiration. My cards don’t end up looking
exactly the same because I use what items I have here and put my spin on it.
Some of my late husband's work colleagues have
stayed in touch. One guy in particular messages me regularly and he visits
me at home or we meet up in town for a cuppa. He likes cycling and will go on
really long bike rides. He’s currently training to do a charity ride with a
friend from John O’Groats to Land’s End. So his birthday card just had to have
a bicycle on it! There was a great design in Simply Cards and Papercraft magazine
(issue 199) that I knew would be perfect and I had a bicycle die! I chopped the basket off that was at the front
of the bike!
The backing paper was designed by me in Serif
Craft Artist using two bicycle images, grouped together and then using the
rubber stamp feature to fill the page. I also changed the colours as one bike
was blue and one was green.
8x8 card blank from Creative Crafting World.
Dark navy blue card is from a Hunkydory kit I won in a
magazine prize draw.
Grey card is Tonic’s Craft Perfect in Pewter
Grey which is embossed using a folder that was free with Love Cardmaking
International magazine (issue 5).
Bicycle die was free in Paper craft Essentials
magazine (issue 172) and is by Dies by Chloe.
Sentiment and backing plate is from The Paper
Boutique Sentiments Vol XX.
Digi Kits are Daisy Trail Hobbies – Home From
Home and Birthday by Victoria Nelson.
The challenge will close on Saturday 11th
April at 1pm.
Don't forget that the CD Sunday Plus Challenge
is now about making items using something printed from a craft CD Rom, USB or
digital download. You can use other craft items on your card/project, such as a
stamp or die, but you must include something printed from the new categories.
In your blog post/Facebook entry you must give the name of the printed item
you've used.
We also have a Facebook page if you don't have a blog - The CD Sunday Plus Challenge.
