#156 Anything Goes - CD Sunday Plus Challenge

On the 18th April it will be 15 years since the first challenge for The CD Sunday Blog Challenge. I think the challenge has done well to survive this long. It's had to keep up with changes in the digital world so as well as CDs you can now use images from USBs and digital downloads - including cutting files.

I haven’t used my Scan N Cut for a while and wanted to make something using an SVG. I found a layered rabbit shaped design on Etsy that I liked.

My make this time is for a forum swap with the theme of Spring. The card stock is all from my stash.

I added an extra layer on the back for a stand.

As usual the theme is Anything Goes at The CD Sunday Plus Challenge.  Remember you must have used something printed from a CD, a USB or a digital download, you must state where the item used is from and you must make a physical item and not a digital one.

The challenge will close on Saturday 26th April 2025 at 1pm.

 

#102 Anything Goes - CD Sunday Plus Challenge

Thanks to everyone who entered the last challenge. I’ve picked my Top Three favourites and they’ll be announced on the Challenge Blog soon.

As usual the theme at The CD Sunday Plus Challenge is Anything Goes - remember you must have used something printed from a CD, a USB or a digital download, you must state where the item used is from and you must make a physical item and not a digital one.

I joined in with a Secret Santa swap before Christmas but because of the Royal Mail strikes most people didn’t receive their swap until after Christmas.

This is what I made:

  

I bought a downloadable SVG file from an Etsy store called CNC ArtStore. It’s a 3D Zentangle Multilayered Wreath. I resized it to 12 by 12 as the original file was 17 inches and it was too large for my Brother ScanNCut mat. There were  seven layers in different colours and to make it stronger I cut each layer twice and glued them together. As I layered it up I used foam tape between the layers to give a shadow effect. I was really pleased with how it turned out. I was sending to the woman who organises the swaps so she knew it was from me. I wanted to make something extra special for her as a Thank You for organising the swaps and she’d also been through a stressful time with her husband being very ill (thankfully he’s much better now).

The challenge will close on Saturday 4^th February 2023 at 1pm.

Don't forget that the CD Sunday Plus Challenge is now about making items using something printed from a craft CD Rom, USB or digital download. You can use other craft items on your card/project, such as a stamp or die, but you must include something printed from the new categories. You must also make a physical item and not a digital one. In your blog post/Facebook entry you must give the name of the printed item you've used.

#95 Anything Goes - CD Sunday Plus Challenge

Back in 2018 I made a birdhouse instead of a card for my husband’s birthday. Little did I know it would be the last birthday I would make anything for him. The original blog post can be found here.

The template and papers are by MJM Design Studios on Etsy. This time I used the papers supplied in the download except for the roof where I used the papers from a Crafter’s Companion CD Rom with Issue 17 of their Inspiration Magazine.

The sparkly paper used around the front edge of the roof and the ridge is from my stash.

The challenge will close on Saturday 15^th October 2022 at 1pm.
