As usual the theme at The CD Sunday Plus Challenge is Anything Goes - remember you must have used something printed from a CD, a USB or a digital download, you must state where the item used is from and you must make a physical item and not a digital one.
I recently bought some new Tonic die
sets and couldn’t wait to make a card with them. There are two sets which have
interchangeable dies and they make a dome front to the card. The set I used for
this card is Tonic Spring Garden Dome Card Die Set. This is for someone I worked
with between 2002 and 2008. We lost touch for a while after both leaving the
company but we’re now back in touch and still friends.
I printed a sheet of card on both
sides using a Create and Craft Digital Portfolio Glimmer Shimmer USB. The
picture on the USB didn’t show that it printed out as an ombre effect – peach through
to light orange, really pretty. I die cut the base layer from this sheet and
then cut the other filigree dies from Limetree Craft Ice Gold Shimmer card. Lovely
in real life as it shimmers - hence the name! I then finished with Nuvo Dream Drops in ‘Rudolph’s
Nose’ (more of an orange red).
This is the inside of the card before
gluing the ‘dome’ front on.
I used the other set of dies to make this card for my older sister. I didn't take a photo of it but this is one she took once she'd received it.
The challenge will close on Saturday 30th April 2022 at 1pm.
Don't
forget that the CD Sunday Plus Challenge is now about making items using
something printed from a craft CD Rom, USB or digital download. You can use
other craft items on your card/project, such as a stamp or die, but you must
include something printed from the new categories. You must also make a
physical item and not a digital one. In your blog post/Facebook entry you must
give the name of the printed item you've used.
