The theme for the CD Sunday Plus Challenge is
Anything Goes but you must have used something printed from a CD, a USB or a
digital download. And you must state were the item used is from.
My late husband has only one remaining aunty
on his father’s side – he thought a lot of her and she treated me more like a
daughter rather than her nephew’s wife. She was 86 this January and her
favourite colour is purple and shades of it. I decided to do a cross stitch of
a bouquet of lavender as the centre piece of her card. The pattern is from a Cd
by Sharon Duncan called ‘Cross stitch for Cards’ which is no longer available
to buy as Sharon closed her craft business a few years ago.
I layered the cross stich panel onto Tonic’s
Craft Perfect card called Amethyst Purple and then I found the perfect backing
paper on a My Craft Studio Cd called Lavender Reign.
The challenge will close on Saturday 1st February at 1pm. Don't forget that the CD Sunday Plus Challenge is now about making items using something printed from a craft CD Rom, USB or digital download. You can use other craft items on your card/project, such as a stamp or die, but you must include something printed from the new categories. In your blog post/Facebook entry you must give the name of the printed item you've used.
We also have a Facebook page if you don't have a blog - The CD Sunday Plus Challenge.
This is a lovely card with beautiful stitching. I'm sure aunty will treasure it.

ReplyDeleteMy wee butterfly card is on the CD Sunday page in error. I dont know what I did but didnt realise it was on as well as the Penguin one. I cant seem to delete it. Ive left a wee comment over there apologising. Love Hazel xx
ReplyDeleteMany apologies Pamela. For some reason I didn't make it here before now. I love your cross stitch. I wish I had the patience. Somehow I can find the patience for parchment but not for cross stitch.
