Anything Goes #27 - CD Sunday Plus

The theme for the CD Sunday Plus Challenge is Anything Goes but you must have used something printed from a CD, a USB or a digital download. And you must state were the item used is from.

My late husband has only one remaining aunty on his father’s side – he thought a lot of her and she treated me more like a daughter rather than her nephew’s wife. She was 86 this January and her favourite colour is purple and shades of it. I decided to do a cross stitch of a bouquet of lavender as the centre piece of her card. The pattern is from a Cd by Sharon Duncan called ‘Cross stitch for Cards’ which is no longer available to buy as Sharon closed her craft business a few years ago.

I layered the cross stich panel onto Tonic’s Craft Perfect card called Amethyst Purple and then I found the perfect backing paper on a My Craft Studio Cd called Lavender Reign.

The sentiment die is from The Paper Boutique Especially For You Doily die set.

The challenge will close on Saturday 1st February at 1pm. Don't forget that the CD Sunday Plus Challenge is now about making items using something printed from a craft CD Rom, USB or digital download. You can use other craft items on your card/project, such as a stamp or die, but you must include something printed from the new categories. In your blog post/Facebook entry you must give the name of the printed item you've used.

We also have a Facebook page if you don't have a blog - The CD Sunday Plus Challenge.

Anything Goes #26 - CD Sunday Plus

I'm really late with my posting - Blogger wouldn't let me add photos so I had to find another way of adding them.

One of my sisters-in-law has her birthday on 23rd December so I like to make a special card for her because her birthday sometimes gets included with Christmas wishes. Earlier this year she had to have one of her dogs put to sleep. I made a waterfall card and included photos of Bess. I was worried that the card might upset her but she’s told me she’s keeping it as one of her ‘treasures’.

I followed instructions in a craft magazine to make the waterfall part. The blue hearts backing paper is from a Creative Crafting World Cd called Perfect Forever Companies.
