G is for...... - CD Sunday

It was lovely to see some different people entering the last CD Sunday Challenge – welcome back to you all. I wonder if the new theme will be just as popular? G is for…..  if you think about it you could come up with lots of things that would fit in with any cards you have to make.
How about grand daughter/son/child/mother/father, god son/daughter, gold (as in wedding anniversary), good luck, get well to name but a few. I’ve gone Christmassy and chosen gingerbread!
Just a simple one from me this time as I was running out of time to submit my design to the design team. I chose to do a zigzag card with the die, cut at an angle on all three flaps from a piece of A4 white card.  The die is a Die’sire Edgeable Gingerbread man.

I then added the three different coloured papers which are from a Polka Doodles CD Rom called Here Comes Christmas. The gingerbread men were then cut from Kraft card and coloured card glued behind each of the die cut holes for the eyes, heart, bow tie, and scarf. I then glued them over the white gingerbread men which hid the messy backs with all the little bits of coloured card. The top and bottom gingerbread men were given a hat the same colour of the backing paper and a line of Glitter Nuvo Drops added as a trim and bobble.
I also added some sentiment dies to the insides of the card. The ‘Believe in the Magic of Christmas’ is a Tattered Lace die free with one of their Christmas mags. And the ‘Merry Christmas’ is a Paper Boutique die – a range of dies from Creative Crafting World which are rapidly becoming my favourite range of dies!

Don't forget that the CD Sunday Challenge is about making items using something printed from a craft CD Rom. You can use other craft items on your card/project, such as a stamp or die, but you must include something from a craft Cd. So if you like colouring stamped images or digis you can still enter the challenge but you must include something from a CD such as a backing paper, a sentiment or a butterfly for example. In your blog post/Facebook entry you must give the name of the CD you've used. This is important if the items you've used can be bought as a download as well as a CD as the Design team can't tell which has been used unless you tell us. Your entry can't be considered for a prize if you haven't used a CD or if you haven't told us the name of the CD in your post. The Design team still leave comments on your blog but there's no chance of winning if the above hasn't been followed. We now have a Facebook page if you don't have a blog - The CD Sunday Challenge.
