Autumn Days - CD Sunday

My card for this fortnight’s CD Sunday theme is quite a simple one. The part that took the longest was die cutting the leaves and acorns in various coloured cardstock and putting them back into the main die cut.

It’s Jane’s turn to pick a theme and she’s chosen ‘Autumn Days’, so along with your ‘something from a CD’ you just need colours that are all around us during autumn.

I covered an 8 by 8 card blank with a paper from The Lace Collection Volume II CD and then just cut the die out and glued it to the card front.

I like how all the various sets of dies in the whole collection have different 'edges' on the inner mat. This one has a really nice slanting 'stitch' effect.
The sentiment is from the Volume VIII set.

I finished the card off with Nuvo Crystal Drops and large brown pearls.
Don't forget that the CD Sunday Challenge is about making items using something printed from a craft CD Rom. You can use other craft items on your card/project, such as a stamp or die, but you must include something from a craft Cd. So if you like colouring stamped images or digis you can still enter the challenge but you must include something from a CD such as a backing paper, a sentiment or a butterfly for example. In your blog post/Facebook entry you must give the name of the CD you've used. This is important if the items you've used can be bought as a download as well as a CD as the Design team can't tell which has been used unless you tell us. Your entry can't be considered for a prize if you haven't used a CD or if you haven't told us the name of the CD in your post. The Design team still leave comments on your blog but there's no chance of winning if the above hasn't been followed. We now have a Facebook page if you don't have a blog - The CD Sunday Challenge.

Creative Crafting World Products used: An 8 by 8 card blank, Perfect Papercrafting Companions – The Lace Collection Volume II DVD Rom (I think the colour of the backing paper was ‘Fig’), The Paper Boutique – Little Things Mean A Lot die set and Sentiments Dies Volume VIII, Lynda Chapman’s brown cardstock, Woodstock card stock and large brown pearls.

Tonic Studio Products used: Nuvo Crystal Drops in Autumn Red, Pearlescent Cosmic Copper and Luxury Embossed card in Peacock Feathers (it’s actually dark brown!).

  3. Your card is beautiful Pamela, I have this die but haven't used it as yet. It must have taken you an age to do all the paper-piecing and adding the dots for the berries, but it was well worth it, it looks beautiful. Lovely choice of backing paper too.

  4. Absolutely beautiful! I really admire your patience, inlaying all those tiny bits of die cut, it gives a wonderful frame to the sentiment
