#57 Anything Goes - CD Sunday Plus Challenge

The theme, as usual, is Anything Goes at the CD Sunday Plus Challenge. You must have used something printed from a CD, a USB or a digital download, you must state where the item used is from and you must make a physical item and not a digital one. Carol is hosting this challenge and will pick her Top Three.

I needed to make some ATCs with the theme of ‘After The Winter’. I turned to Serif Craft Artist as I knew there’d be a suitable background. I found a ‘Layout’ from Polkadoodles called Rosebudd’s Garden – not a type Rosebudd is a little girl! I removed all the items that I didn’t need like a garden fence, and flowers which left me with a pretty background of rolling hills and sky - perfect for my cherry blossom tree!

Everything else is from a free gift that was in Die Cutting Essentials magazine issue 41. I just added some Nuvo Crystal drops in Party Pink to the centre of the blossom. It smudged in a couple of places but isn’t as noticeable as it appears to be in the photo.

I added a personal touch to the two hearts – my late husband’s and my initials.

The challenge will close on Saturday 10th April 2021 at 1pm.

Don't forget that the CD Sunday Plus Challenge is now about making items using something printed from a craft CD Rom, USB or digital download. You can use other craft items on your card/project, such as a stamp or die, but you must include something printed from the new categories. You must also make a physical item and not a digital one. In your blog post/Facebook entry you must give the name of the printed item you've used.

#56 Anything goes - The CD Sunday Challenge

Thanks to everyone who joined in with the previous challenge. I hosted it and you’ve made it very difficult for me to choose just 3 for the Top Three. Carol will post the winners in the next challenge which starts on 28th March.

The theme, as usual, is Anything Goes at the CD Sunday Plus Challenge. You must have used something printed from a CD, a USB or a digital download, you must state where the item used is from and you must make a physical item and not a digital one.
I’ve just bought a new USB from The Card Hut called Silhouettes and I was itching to use it! I decided to make a card for the challenge which will be sent to someone in a birthday card swap that I belong to.

I designed the image in the centre, using the application that is on the USB, which probably took me as long as it did to make the card!  The card blank is 7 by 10 inches and I used black gloss card to cover it. The corner dies are cut from maroon linen effect card that I’ve had so long I don’t know where it’s from. I then finished the front of the card by adding three hearts in the two remaining corners. They’re quite hard to see in the photo but if I lighten it the red card changes to a bright red.

I also decorated the inside with two more corner dies and a verse printed from a Splash Crafts USB (another new USB!).

Items used:

Card blank from Creative Crafting World (7x10 inches).
Black gloss card from Limetree Crafts.
Moroccan Orchard Corner die set from Tonic Studios.
Silhouette from The Card Hut Silhouettes USB.
Verse from Splash Crafts USB.
The challenge will close on Saturday 27th March 2021 at 1pm.
