#113 Anything Goes - CD Sunday Plus Challenge

As usual the theme is Anything Goes at The CD Sunday Plus Challenge - remember you must have used something printed from a CD, a USB or a digital download, you must state where the item used is from and you must make a physical item and not a digital one.

I enjoy making birthday cards for one of my nieces because she loves cats as much as I do. It gives me the chance to use some of my vast amount of cat related craft stash!

This looks quite a simple card to make – backing paper printed from a CD, and a die cut. But I cut the cats from different coloured card and paper pieced them into the main die. Some of the pieces were quite thin so I had to handle them with tweezers.

I cut the shanks off the back of two cat buttons and added those. I told my niece that I rarely gave people my cat buttons and she had two on her card LOL! 

Items used:

Creative Crafting World: Charismatic Cats CD, –Sentiments Vol II and Meow! Beyond Borders die sets.

Tonic Studios: Craft Perfect Fern Green card stock.

Other card stock is just scraps from my stash.

You can use other craft items on your card/project, such as a stamp or die, but you must include something printed from the new categories. You must also make a physical item and not a digital one. Cards for men – don’t we all struggle with them? I recently came across a card designed to look like a shirt. My late husband always short sleeved shirts to work and some of the papers I printed off looked just like his shirts.

I used mats of black card to give an edge to the various elements and finished off with black buttons. 

I knew collecting all those hundreds of buttons was a good idea!  

I then went on to make a few more!

 

 

 And finally the next one doesn’t qualify for the CD Sunday challenge as there’s isn’t anything digital on it. My godson has just joined the Royal Navy Reserves as an officer. This is the card I made him:

 Proper metal buttons and a tie made from ribbon! 

He loved it and has it pinned above his desk.
