#181 Anything Goes - CD Sunday Plus Challenge

As usual the theme at The CD Sunday Plus Challenge is Anything Goes.  Remember you must have used something printed from a CD, a USB or a digital download, you must state where the item used is from and you must make a physical item and not a digital one.

My card for this challenge is yet another Carnation Crafts design. I love using their dies and vignettes – they make such pretty cards.

I turned a landscape card so the fold is at top. Then embossed green pearlised card using Tonic’s Annabel A4 folder. The centre is made using dies and vignettes from Carnation Crafts Summer pursuits Collection – Delightful Daisies. Two outline dies used, one from white and one from the same green pearlised card. The flowers were decoupaged.

#180 Anything Goes - CD Sunday Plus Challenge

The challenge at CD Sunday Plus stretches over the Easter holidays. I hope everyone enjoys the Bank Holidays and doesn’t eat too many chocolate eggs!

One of my craft forum friends had her birthday recently. She’s quite a petite woman and makes her own clothes or alters bought ones. So I just had to use a new set of dies called Haberdashery from John Next Door. I buy loads of John’s dies as his designs are so useful and pretty!

I used a lounge picture that I’ve previously designed in Serif Craft Artist and then added clothes and furniture from Carnation Crafts as well as the sewing related items from John Next Door.

It was lovely to see a couple of new people entering the Challenge last time. Hopefully they’ll join in again sometime soon.

This card is for an elderly gentleman who lives in the same assisted living home as one of my friends. He’s quite a character and likes to find solutions to things. The background in this card is from a digi kit called ‘Inventor’ – I thought it was appropriate for him!

Lots of steps to the making of this card. Backing paper printed and glued to the card base. Light bulb stamped and then coloured with an alcohol marker. A couple of items printed from a USB and various die-cut items.

It's St David's Day today in Wales and the daffodils have bloomed right on time!

It’s my turn to be the host for the current  CD Sunday Plus Challenge . As usual the theme is Anything Goes.  Remember you must have used something printed from a CD, a USB or a digital download, you must state where the item used is from and you must make a physical item and not a digital one.

My card this time is a birthday card for an Aunt who is 92 years old and sadly has dementia. I like to add lots of detail to her card and she likes to keep it on display long after all her other cards are taken down. I loaded this one up with lots and lots of flowers!

I cut two of the white card bases and joined them together at the top. Everything is from Carnation Crafts except the sentiment.

#177 Anything Goes - CD Sunday Plus Challenge

My neighbour’s daughter is into the Goth/Steampunk look. I love making her cards because it means I get to use images that I like. I can’t use them for other people because they’d think them weird!

Images are all from a CD, Steampunk - Altered by Magik Graphics. Everything was resized and moved around (a lot!) until I was happy using Serif Craft Artist. The corset was printed a second time and layered onto the other one using foam pads.

Inside I used my favourite Tonic die, cut twice and layered up for a shadow effect.

One of my brothers (I have 5) is into music. He has an electric guitar and has in the past played in a small local band. I try to make cards for him that reflect his interest in music. 

This card was created in Serif Craft Artist adding the music notes and figures. Then printed and glued to a card blank.

My husband’s cousin’s daughter (1^st cousin once removed?) is a pretty young woman who loves make-up and clothes. I enjoy making her birthday card because I can use lots of pretty things on it (I like pretty things!). And Carnation Crafts make this really easy with their collections of dies and vignettes. I bought the card base die especially to make this card as I think it makes the other dies stand out.

#174 Anything Goes - CD Sunday Plus Challenge

And we’re back! The challenge has had a short break to recharge our batteries and make a few changes.
We now longer have a FaceBook page and the challenge will now close at 9pm on the second Friday.

I rarely have chance to blog my Christmas cards before Christmas. Mainly because I’m still making them right up to the last posting date!
This card was one of my favourites and was sent to a much loved couple.

 Other than the green and white card everything else is from Carnation Crafts.
