Spring Colours - C D Sunday

The next challenge at CD Sunday has been chosen by Pauline - Spring Colours. A really open theme that should have you all reaching for your craft CDs to make something using the fresh colours that we all turn to at this time of year. And if you needed another reason to join in we have a SPECIAL BUMPER PRIZE this time. April 18th will be the 7th birthday of the challenge. Last year our birthday fell on a challenge date and we had several prizes available and you all supported us by entering. This year because our birthday is between two challenges we've included it in with Pauline's Spring Colour theme.
This is the prize up for grabs:
Tattered Lace Secret Slider die set.

It's been kindly donated by one of the Design Team - a very generous, brand new, prize.
Now to my make for the challenge.
I decided I wanted to make a gift bag to send some Easter chocolate to a friend. After two aborted attempts at making the bag I changed my mind and made a card!

This turned out so well I decided to have another go at a gift bag but this time I decorated a 'second hand' gift bag that I already had.

This is the front of the bag to match the card. I then decorated the back of the bag using pretty spring colours. The 'eggs' at the bottom will have my friend's name put on before sending it.

And this is a photo of the card, bag and chocolate!

Items used:
The sky/grass are backing papers from My Craft Studio - Setting the Scene CD. I joined them together in the MCS program before printing it off.
I then stamped grass using a stamp from a free gift that was in a craft magazine (possibly Simply Cards?) and I also used the picket fence die from this free gift.
On the right of the picket fence is a tiny bird that was cut using a Tattered Lace border die free with one of their magazines. I just snipped one out of the border and coloured it using Promarkers.
The clouds are from a die set by Spellbinders called Rainy Day.
The bunny rabbit is a Tonic Studio Essentials die - Betty Bunny, but I think the colours I've used make it look like a male rabbit.
The back of the bag is just decorated by covering the whole area with lemon cardstock and ribbon. I've die cut small eggs and letters to spell out Happy Easter and my friends name has been added in the lower eggs. I've also wrapped a fresh green coloured ribbon around the handles of the bag.
So when the CD Sunday design team say you can enter the challenge as long as you've used something from a craft CD Rom, no matter how small, we mean it! The only thing on my card/bag from a CD is the one backing paper. So come on - rise to the challenge and have a go!
You have until Saturday 22nd April at 1 pm to enter. Don't forget to use that 'something' from a craft CD and to name it in your blog post. It would be a shame to miss out on that brilliant prize because you didn't follow the rules - Good Luck!
